I had severe chronic pain in my neck due to stenosis. The nerves trapped in the neck area of my spine were so inflamed and the pressure on the nerves was so severe that it caused excruciating numbness in my hands. It felt as though I had steel filling my fingers. I was very desperate, waking up at all times during the night and not feeling my hands. Very scary.

I had acupuncture treatments which helped somewhat but were pretty costly. The acupuncturist kept saying that we just needed a millimeter or so of space between the vertebrae, which made me think that maybe I should see a chiropractor. I had never had chiropractic treatment but my son had seen a chiropractor for a back injury and it helped him tremendously.

I did not know how much chiropractic would help me but I thought it might help. When I came to Khalsa Chiropractic I found everyone in the office to be very helpful, kind and calm. Dr. Mha Atma is very patient and knowledgeable. He recommended I come twice weekly for a couple of months, but due to the long drive (from the Valley) and limited funds I could only come every two weeks. He also recommended certain anti-inflammatory supplements.

After a few treatments I felt the difference very quickly. I have now been seeing him for over a year. I do not wake up at night with hands that are numb and feel like steel. I do not walk around for hours before I start to feel my hands. I have fewer muscle spasms from the great tension in my neck. I do not feel desperate and scared,

Chiropractic works and has helped me. I am able to function and do things I could not do before. Chiropractic is a holistic way to improve one’s health and to stay healthy. I have told several friends about Khalsa Chiropractic and informed them that this will be the only one I would ever go to and trust. I believe in it and think it is a great path to better health. My only wish is that I would not have to travel so long to get here—otherwise I would probably see Dr. Mha Atma every week.

I have scoliosis, and as I have gotten older (and a little shorter!) it has gotten progressively worse, limiting my mobility. Even back in my late 20’s I was very prone to headaches that had many triggers, including the scoliosis and the instability of the upper cervical region of my spine. I have therefore been getting regular chiropractic treatment for close to 40 years. It has been a vital part of my life to deal with headaches, which for many years were mostly debilitating migraines.

I have been seeing Dr. Khalsa for close to one year and have been so happy to have made this choice. His method is gentle but extremely effective, and I appreciate his tremendous knowledge based on his long experience. I often come into the office in real pain, and leave feeling the headache lifting. My headaches can still be debilitating and last for days, so I am grateful for this help.

I’ve also had knee problems and lower back pain (due to the scoliosis) and Dr. Khalsa has shown me very effective, simple exercises to strengthen my knees and lower back as well as my neck. Additionally, he has recommended certain vitamins and supplements that I believe have helped with my overall strength and stamina.

It is very important to feel trust in a chiropractor, who literally is holding you in his hands. I always feel totally relaxed with Dr. Khalsa, knowing his manipulations will be gentle and often extraordinarily effective. With other chiropractors, sometimes they got an adjustment out of me but I did not get relief. This is not happened with Dr. Khalsa!

I enjoy the relaxed, homey atmosphere of the office, the super friendly staff, including Martha, Madeline, and Dana, and the promptness of being seen at appointment time. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Khalsa to anyone in need of a good adjustment!

I first sought chiropractic care at Khalsa Chiropractic due to constant pain and misalignment caused by an altercation where I was attacked. My pain was concentrated in my shoulders, neck, and back, particularly in my spine, and I had been dealing with it for six months. On a scale of 1 to 10, my pain level was at a 7.

Before coming to Khalsa Chiropractic, I had seen my general physician, an acupuncturist, and multiple massage therapists. I underwent X-rays and tried multiple treatments, including physical therapy, but found only minimal relief. I also took medication for the pain, but it did not help.

I decided to return to chiropractic care because I had experienced success with it in the past. I was immediately drawn to the inviting atmosphere at Khalsa Chiropractic, and I could sense that Dr. Mha Atma truly cares about helping his patients heal. The small touches, like offering tea, made the experience even more welcoming.

Dr. Mha Atma recommended a personalized treatment plan, including chiropractic adjustments three times per week, at-home exercises to strengthen my back, herbal topicals for symptom relief, and massage therapy. I tried the in-house massage therapy and had an amazing experience.

The results have been life-changing. When I first arrived, I was in so much pain that I felt hopeless about ever finding lasting relief. Now, six months later, not only have I healed from my injuries, but I feel better than I did even before the incident. My mobility has greatly improved, the pain in my spine is completely gone, and my overall quality of life has increased tremendously. I no longer spend all my energy managing pain—I sleep better, move more easily, and feel like myself again.

I was so impressed with my experience that I introduced my partner to Khalsa Chiropractic, and he has also had great results. I firmly believe that chiropractic care is essential—not just for relief in the moment, but for long-term health and well-being. It’s an investment in feeling better for years to come.

I am incredibly grateful for the knowledge, expertise, and care that Dr. Mha Atma and the entire team provide. Thank you for everything you do!

I was assaulted on December 15, 2025 and as a result I had severe middle and lower back pain, even worse right hip pain, right shin pain and neck pain. And the pain lasted for months. I was depressed! The pain was severe. I was not sleeping well and I was asking for more pain medication. Before the attack I had some lower back pain and had been taking some pain medicine. After the attack I went to the ER and later to my GP and they all recommended I take more pain meds. I was so much worse after I was assaulted and I was using pain patches along with the increased medications.

I had been to a chiropractor before in 2018. My doctor expressed reservations about trying chiropractic again due to my past history. But I found Khalsa Chiropractic on my insurance plan and made an appointment. When I arrived, the atmosphere seemed quiet and reserved until Martha came forward with a bright smile and offered me tea. I had not drunk tea in 50 years but I really enjoyed it.

Dr. Mha Atma explained my spinal condition and gave me pamphlets with diagrams and instructions. He recommended exercises that I had never been told to perform before. He recommended twice weekly chiropractic adjustments. The adjustments and exercises have made a huge difference! Now I have eliminated the pain patches and have been able to return to just my original medication and stopped pressuring my GP for more pain pills.

Chiropractic services from Dr. Mha Atma, and the influence of his staff and his other patients, have brightened my mind and my mental health and I am no longer depressed. I am feeling better physically and mentally. I have told at least five other friends to see Dr. Mha Atma.

I have an increased awareness and appreciation for what chiropractic and Dr. Mha Atma have done for my body. Dr. Mha Atma goes directly to my pain centers with each visit and works to make them better. All of the staff and the other patients as well have contributed to the healing resulting from Dr. Mha Atma’s knowledge, expertise and hands-on treatments!

I had lower back pain which had been persisting for about six weeks. It was a sharp, pinching feeling, sometimes radiating to the sides of my hips. The pain was significant and impossible to ignore. I had never been to a chiropractor but my parents had, and they encouraged me to see Dr. Mha Atma.

I found the office, the staff and the doctor to be welcome, accommodating, professional, caring and sincere. Dr. Mha Atma recommended frequent visits for a couple of weeks, then once a week for a while. I had 20% less pain within the first week, and after a few weeks 70% less and soon thereafter no more pain. I have continued with twice monthly adjustments and feeling very well.

I now recommend chiropractic because chiropractic adjustments help set you up for success. I’ve told a number of family members and friends about it. I love that it is now part of my routine to stay healthy.

“I was preparing for my second degree black belt in Hapkido.”

I was preparing for my second degree black belt in Hapkido. The test itself is quite physically challenging, and the training also quite intense. This led to debilitating, chronic pain. I started to notice my lower back seemed to get locked up, and when it was, the pain was very acute. I got to the point where there were days when I couldn’t even walk. At one point, it was so bad that all I could do was lay flat on my back on the ground like a dead cockroach. I literaly had to crawl to the bathroom to pee - in extreme pain the whole time.

My regular doctor sent me to a specialist - actually several specialists - most of which were spinal experts and neurosurgeons. None of them, or their various physical therapies, helped, and they began to discuss back surgery.

After seeing virtually every famous neurosurgeon in Beverly Hills, I had found no relief, and was ready to try anything. Not only had the other doctors not been able to help, they couldn’t even diagnose the problem. My family had recommended I try a chiropractor - Dr Mha Atma, in particular - as they had been seeing him for some time, and had had amazing results. I had seen a chiropractor in the past a few times - and had good results. However, it had never really been the kind of treatment I thought about as a first line treatment.

I had no idea if chiropractic treatment would work, but I was open to it. As a martial artist I embraced many “non-traditional” healing methods, as I was exposed to much of the ancient wisdom found there, often not recognized by mainstream medicine. However, I was not super optimistic, as I was afraid I had done some deeper damage.

My first impression of Khalsa Chiropractic was overwhelmingly positive. The offices were very peaceful and welcoming. It felt like a place of healing. The person behind the desk (Martha) could not have been warmer or sweeter. She welcomed me. and for the first time, I started to feel some hope that Dr Mha Atma and his team might actually be able to help. I was put in a room that also felt peaceful. The doctor himself showed up within 5 minutes, and he too embodied peace and healing. I liked him already. And in my heart felt his healing energy.

Dr Mha Atma very quickly diagnosed my problem (correctly!!) as a locked up sacroiliac joint. He proceeded to do various adjustments to unlock my SI joint, and within less than 5 minutes had unlocked my joint, which immediately relieved my pain. Just like that!!! I felt better!! I could move freely, and no longer felt totally crippled by pain!! How could this be?? All the neurosurgeons in Beverly Hills could neither diagnose my problem nor provide ANY relief. In just 5 minutes, Dr Mha Atma had both diagnosed my problem (correctly), AND had provided instant, lasting relief. My chronic lower back pain was gone. Over the next few weeks (maybe 5-6 visits) I noticed that the joint would want to lock up again - but every time Dr Mha Atma would release it again, until it finally stayed unstuck. And just like that I was able to resume my intense training for my second degree black belt. I passed that test, and I have gone on to achieve my third degree black belt in Hapkido.

It’s now been over twenty-five years that I have been a patient of Khalsa Chiropractic, and I give Dr Mha Atma complete credit for my mobility, continued good health, and pain-free life. I have continued my care because it works. My overall mobility and skeletal health have been key in my overall health. No surgeries, no pain killers, and no pain. That’s why I keep coming back, and sending all my friends there.

My mother, my father, my wife and my best friends are all now patients of Dr Mha Atma!! I have probably sent close to a dozen of my friends to Khalsa Chirpractic, and they have all had remarkable results.

I would recommend chiropractic care because it is non-invasive, far less expensive, and far more effective than any other type of mobility or pain management solution. No surgery. No opiates. No pain. Full mobility. Looking back, I now realize the immense value of chiropractic care for mobility, pain relief, and overall health. I only wish I’d started even sooner.

It is also worth mentioning how nice everyone at Khalsa Chirpractic is. They truly care, and they really want to help. Further, they manage the office so well, that I rarely wait more than 5 minutes from when I arrive until I see the doctor. Truly an amazing place!

For someone who is just starting chiropractic care I say stay with it! Results are coming. It’s a quick and easy way to stay healthy and limber.

In 2005 I had severe back pain. I could not walk. I was referred to Khalsa Chiropractic for treatment. By the time my visit was over I was instantly cured and I have been a patient ever since.

Doctors I had previously seen for my back pain were not helpful: a lot of machines and medications. My friend Kori told me about Dr. Mha Atma and how he had helped her. She suggested I see him. I had never been to a chiropractor before and I definitely had doubts. I didn’t see how simple cracking of bones would help.

I found the office to be very welcoming with an extremely friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere. Dr. Mha Atma adjusted me and suggested I return the following week, which I did. The results were excellent—I had no more pain and I could walk again. And I have continued to return for treatment for 20 years. I continue because I like the office and the staff and I love the results I get from my visits. Dr. Mha Atma is the best chiropractor in town. And I love having a stronger back, spine and posture.

I have told neighbors, my barber and co-workers about the benefits of chiropractic. I think it helps the actual underlying issue, while traditional medical practice only gives out medication to mask the real problem. I encourage others to have an open mind and give it a try.

Dr. Mha Atma always shares advice and handouts on how to live better. I appreciate his talent and service a lot.

I first came to Khalsa Chiropractic over 15 years ago to deal with tension and stress in my back from picking up my young child and parenting. I had previously had chiropractic work, but my former doctor had retired. I knew chiropractic adjustments were beneficial, so I found Dr. Mha Atma in my childhood neighborhood. My parents had both come to see Dr. Mha Atma regularly, so it became a family affair.

I knew that finding a great practitioner would improve my feeling of well-being. Dr. Mha Atma recommended stretches and strengthening exercises based on yoga which were easy to do daily, along with weekly adjustments. The tension and tight muscles alleviated. My neck wasn’t achy all the time. Since then, chiropractic care has been an integral part of ensuring I feel good and can function optimally. Regular visits have ensured that I don’t wake up in pain from just “sleeping wrong.” It helps me feel like I’m not aging. My daughter Zoe comes with me to visits. Kids these days are on those darn devices all the time and chiropractic has helped sort out that curve in her upper back.

I’ve told just about everyone I know about the benefits of chiropractic care. Regular adjustments are really a godsend. Feeling better after adjustments encourages me to do more for my health, including watching my consumption of junk foods.

If you’ve just started chiropractic care, my advice is to keep going. You may not notice a big difference in the first three sessions, but it really works! I’m all in! Chiropractic care works and helps me feel like a functioning person!

As an elementary school teacher, I never realized how much stress builds up in a body. Every adjustment helps me realize what homeostasis actually feels like, and it’s why I keep coming back! And when walking into Khalsa Chiropractic, every single receptionist has been warm, courteous and helpful. It’s such a calming environment.

I was having neck and back pain from sitting at a desk all day. My body was holding onto so much stress and tension. The pain in my shoulders, neck and back had lasted for months and was only getting worse. It often interrupted my activities of daily living, And pain meds can only do so much.

A friend recommended Dr. Mha Atma, so I decided to give chiropractic a try. It was the BEST DECISION EVER. You don’t know how much you need it until you have it!

Of course, I had doubts that my issues could be fixed with chiropractic treatment. I had never tried it before.

I found the office to be lovely, with a very homey feel, and I love the selection of teas. Dr. Mha Atma really cares about his patients and thoroughly explains his diagnosis, treatment and home exercises. He recommended regular chiropractic treatments and home stretches to maintain improvement.

I started seeing Dr. Mha Atma about five months ago and my body shows SO much improvement! I stand up straight, walk taller, have better posture, and less pain in my everyday life.

I recommend chiropractic care to all my coworkers—to come and try treatment if they have any pain. And let’s face it, we all have pain. I think chiropractic is amazing. The benefits are fantastic, and everyone should try it and incorporate it into their self-care, just like any other routine to stay healthy.

I’m so grateful to have found this office and Dr. Mha Atma. He takes the time to explain every detail of the treatment in a way that make me feel informed and supported. What I appreciate most is that his care goes beyond adjustments—he genuinely cares about my overall health and well-being. From thoughtful guidance during appointments to the monthly email newsletters he puts together, it’s clear how much effort he puts into being the best doctor he can be—kind, patient and dedicated. I’m always left feeling better.

For years I had pain in my upper neck and shoulders 90 percent of the time and also occasional lower back pain. The pain was very severe and constant. I had been to one other chiropractor—in Arizona, but hadn’t had any chiropractic care in seven years. I was looking for a good chiropractor in LA and saw many great reviews for Khalsa Chiropractic on line so I had to give Dr. Mha Atma a chance!

I was sure chiropractic would help me because my prior chiropractor in Arizona helped a lot! I found this office to be very cozy, unique and welcoming. I loved the tea and water area in the lobby. Dr. Mha Atma recommended chiropractic adjustments along with stretching and breathing exercises and vitamins. I had not been taking any pain medications. Dr. Mha Atma recommended vitamin D and magnesium which have helped me with pain management.

After a few months of chiropractic treatment, I feel better and no longer have the feeling of lingering and consistent pain. Overall, I am now pain free and happier.

I would definitely recommend chiropractic care to anyone suffering or looking to improve their health. I love it and plan on continuing my treatment so I can continue to be pain free.

Thank you, Dr. Mha Atma and the team! You all do a wonderful job at creating a welcoming environment for your patients. I am grateful to have a chiropractor who makes me feel better and give me advice and tips that go beyond the office. Keep doing what you’re doing!

I came to Khalsa Chiropractic initially for an auto accident/whiplash (almost 20 years ago!). My lawyer sent me to someone who was not sufficient, so my massage therapist referred me to Dr. Mha Atma. From my first visit I found his office warm and welcoming.

Few people have “the touch” that Dr. Mha Atma has—I felt the other doctors were more just going through the motions. I love Dr. Mha Atma and everything about being a patient here. I love the family practice vibe, the office coziness and the doctor’s kindness and the way he handles patients.

I’ve been a chiropractic patient since my mid-20’s and I’m one of the few people I know in my profession—I’m a dental hygienist—that have held up pain free for so many decades.

Besides his hands-on chiropractic treatment, Dr. Mha Atma has given me many wellness tips over the years, from stretching to supplements. All have helped tremendously.

I have continued with chiropractic for most of my life because, along with stretching, working out and acupuncture, it’s the only way I know, to prevent injury and maintain my workload. Chiropractic care has helped me stay flexible and continue to work pain free! Chiropractic has also helped my son, who is a Division One fencer at Ohio State. It has helped him as an athlete to prevent injury and stay flexible.

I tell everyone about the benefits of chiropractic! I tell them that along with self-care, chiropractic is a must to maintain a great quality of life. And for those who have begun the journey, I tell them to keep going and to believe in the body’s ability to heal.

Looking back on my chiropractic experience, I feel that I can’t live without it. Dr. Mha Atma is the best! There are very few practitioners out there that can create the miracles he does.

I had pain in my neck and back for two years and my right hip for three months. The hip pain was very severe and kept me up at night. I saw medical doctors for the back pain and received injections. The back pain had become worse recently and radiated to my right leg. I had not been to a doctor for the hip pain but decided to try chiropractic after a friend recommended me to Dr. Mha Atma. She was a patient and had had a great experience here.

I had been to a chiropractor years ago, so I expected it would help, but I was surprised at how well it works. From the beginning I felt very comfortable here. All the folks who work here are lovely and the doctor is fabulous.

Dr. Mha Atma recommended chiropractic treatments—twice weekly at first then gradually less frequently—along with an anti-inflammation diet and supplements. I experienced relief after every chiropractic visit. Now, a year later, my visits are occasional and although I still experience intermittent symptoms, whenever I see Dr. Mha Atma I have relief for weeks.

My husband has also been a patient for his back pain and has experienced good results. I have told several people about my chiropractic experience here and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone suffering or looking to improve their health. I’m a big fan.
